Global Goals Kids’ Show Italy

Onboarding the next generation of leaders

Why

Although we are already in the final decade of the Agenda 2030 we still see a lack of information and material for children about the Sustainable Global Goals (SDGs) and the growing urgency for sustainability. The shared purpose driving this initiative is to convey the SDGs message in an engaging and easy to understand format in order to onboard the next generation of leaders and decision-makers in Italy. It will both empower and inspire them to use their voices and actions.

What

Our goal was to bring the online Kids Show to Italy. The show was created in 2019 by the Swedish strategic communication group, The New Division to teach children about the 17 Global Goals. There was a need to adopt the content and identify the accurate partner for the right impact. The new show “Global Goals Kids Show Italy” was presented during the Sustainable Development Festival organized by ASviS on the 22nd of September to the 8th of October 2020 and all the episodes are now available online to over 5 million children between 5-10 years of age living in Italy as well as teachers/trainers on the platforms of the project partners as well as many others. It is also being aired on national TV channel Rai Yoyo within the program “La posta di Yoyo”.

Who

The partners are united by their shared purpose, their belief in a collaborative approach, and their technical expertise and experience. Together with Alleanza Italiana per lo Sviluppo Sostenibile (ASviS) we adopted the content. Through their collaboration with the Ministry of Education and RAI they became the key partner for the promotion and distribution in Italy. Wildside, an Italian company belonging to Fremantle (one of the largest creators, producers and distributors of television brands in the world) was selected for the production. The popular and well-known Caroline Benvenga was selected as the presenter of the show to attract and engage children.
