Attracting Young Talents
through Inclusion

What do they expect?

Why

To attract young talent, companies need to rethink their relationship with the new generations and carefully choose the right content, tone of voice and channels. Young talents seek empathy, trust, and an inclusive mindset. They want to discover a personal growth path. Is your company open and sensitive to the conditions and needs of a young person, perhaps with no work experience yet?

What

As part of a larger research project, Afuture included a qualitative analysis with nine companies. The purpose was to explore the experience from applying for a junior or internship position, and to identify good practices as well as lost opportunities related to the topics of inclusion and involvement of young people. Key findings pointed to the importance of companies to offer practical advice on how to deal with the application process and with clarity express compensation and career opportunities.

Who

A research project looking into the DE&I practices of 50 of Italy’s biggest employers, developed in collaboration with Lundquist, investigated if and how DE&I is integrated into the corporate strategies and how it can unleash new value and build a more sustainable organisation. Alessandro, a 22 years old student from the Bocconi University, was responsible for the development and the execution of the research, as well as the methodology, the analysis, and the conclusions and recommendations.
