The blind spot in our efforts

Inner Development

Why

We are all used to behave and act in a certain way, within a system with rigid structures, which were developed when times and goals were very different. How much do we bring ourselves to work, and how much do we hide within our role? Do we have enough humility to put our egos aside and make decisions we will not see the results of or take credit for? Perhaps we need more courage and perseverance to challenge and disrupt existing structures and opinions? Despite all our effort in reaching our global goals we are still far from reaching them. Which is the missing piece of the puzzle?

What

The blind spot in our efforts is ourselves, for an external transformation we need inner development. During an interactive talk Francesco Perrini, Associate Dean Sustainability di SDA Bocconi School of Management, Laura Cavatorta, Chairwoman ESG Committee, Snam and Inwit and Maria Cristina Papetti, Head of Sustainability Planning Stakeholders & Human Rights, EnelGroup reflected on what inspire us personally and shared what could happen if the will to change comes from the inside and not because the outside wants us to change. An experienced board member, a skilled top manager, and an associate dean of the best business school in Italy openly sharing, reflecting and interacting with the audience on our personal relationship to ourself is a very important and inspiring first step. Let us together spread the Inner Development Goals in Italy and guide people of all ages to embrace them in their respective reality.
